The SoCal LX Spring Fest 14 is the place where the wide-bodied four-door muscle car will be born.
The widebody Dodge Charger has almost arrived – at least, as a concept vehicle. Employees of FCA Produce Design Office have been sharing photos on Insta. According to Mopar Insiders the highly-anticipated four-door muscle car will be making its debut at the SoCal LX Spring Fest 14, as the Dodge Charger Widebody Concept, This rumor is believed to be official considering the fact that the posts were made by current employees. It’s also very timely as the alleged Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat broadbody was allegedly seen stylishly camouflaged along public roads.
The SoCal LX Spring Fest, which is dedicated to cars on the Chrysler LX platform, is the largest event of its kind in the world. This is why it would be appropriate to reveal the Dodge Charger Widebody Concept during this event. The concept specifications and engine options for the widebody Charger are still to be discovered. According to reports, the Dodge Charger Widebody Concept could be equipped with the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that produces 485 horsepower. A Hellcat Redeye version with more power should be added to the list, since it’s Dodge.
The photos taken by FCA employees show that the Dodge Charger Widebody Concept borrows a lot from the Dodge Durango SRT, but doesn’t depart too much from regular Chargers. The wheels are 20-inch twin 5-spoke, aluminum. Tomorrow, March 23rd 2019, the SoCal LX Spring Fest 14 will take place at the Auto Club Raceway, Pomona, California. We will keep you updated on the progress of the Dodge Charger Widebody Concept. Here are some other social media posts by FCA employees.
