This powerful sedan could be available before the end the year.
According to Motor Trend, Jonny Lieberman, the Dodge Charger Widebody Concept will produce a production version with 797 horsepower (594kilowatts), without citing any sources. He suggests a debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November.
The Dodge Charger Widebody Concept (see the gallery below) was unveiled at the SoCal LX Spring Fest. The model had wider fenders and a revised front with more inlets in its fascia. The trunk lip spoiler was large and there were small openings between the rear wheels. The sedan came with black wheels and five sets of dual spokes.
The production version of this widebody is rumored to be the earlier rumors. Charger The Hellcat’s supercharged, 6.2-liter V8 would be upgraded to produce 717 horsepower (535 kW) Lieberman’s claim that the model will use the Redeye’s 797 horsepower (594-kW), tune of this engine makes sense because it is already in Dodge’s parts bin.
Other performance modifications would be beneficial to the widebody Charger in order to handle the additional power. You can expect tweaks such as a revised suspension and retuned steering to be included. 20-inch wheels with sticky tires will also be part of the changes.
Due to their similarity, the Charger, a brawnier car, would likely have similar performance specs to the Challenger Redeye. However, the four-door layout would make it easier to get into the rear seats. The Challenger is a hardcore machine that can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.4 seconds. It also reaches a top speed at 203 mph (327 Kph). The Challenger covers the quarter mile at 131 mph (211 km/h) in 10.8 seconds.
A video shot in April 2019 captured a widebody Charger while Dodge was filming a promotional or commercial video. This is further evidence that dealers might be interested in a Charger with widebody. This clip is quite recent, suggesting that the more muscular sedan might debut before November’s LA Auto Show.
