This could be the first time you see a Dodge Demon in rearview mirror.
The Dodge Challenger Demon muscle car is scary enough by itself. It’s so scary that one publication even called for its ban from public roads. Now, drivers have a new reason to worry about Dodge’s most powerful vehicle… at least, in the virtual world.
Aksyonov Nikita, a rendering artist, has digitally envisioned a Dodge Challenger Demon police vehicle. Speeders everywhere should be scared. Unless you are driving a ridiculous supercar ( ) or a Tesla, you will not be able to beat this cruiser at 60 mph (96 km/h) any time soon. Stock, the Dodge Demon can sprint to 60 in just 2.33 seconds. This would make it faster than the GTR Pursuit that we saw at New York Auto Show.
It is dressed in the same ” Pursuit livery as other Dodge products. Accentuating the white and black exterior are a roof-mounted lightbar, two spotlights on each side, black steely wheels and a grille ram bar. The grille at the front and rear windows are also equipped with red and blue lights.
The engine is the only thing that hasn’t changed, and it doesn’t need to. The same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 produces 840 horsepower (626kW) on 100 octane gasoline and 770 lbft (1,043 Newton meters) of torque. This V8 is the most powerful in production and can cover the quarter mile in 9.65 seconds. The Dodge Demon is a monster of a muscle car, but not one you want to be in your rearview mirror.
