“A GT500 Priest came and exorcise my Dodge Demon.”
Ford has finally released official output details on the new Shelby GT500 earlier in the month. The numbers are amazing. The company claims that the muscle beast’s engine is the most powerful supercharged production V8 in the world, with 760 horsepower (567kilowatts) as well as 625 pound-feet (847 Newton meters) of torque. The model will be available for sale in the summer. However, until then, let’s check out what the previous generation can do.
Let’s first see this GT500. It could be either from the 2007-2009 or 2010-2012 series. It’s impossible to tell what it is as the video doesn’t show the details. But that’s not the main thing. This car should produce at least 500 horsepower (373 kW) or 480 lbft (651Nm) even in stock form. Although this is a modified car, the exact numbers should be much higher.
The Demonology channel of YouTube displays its Dodge Demon against it. This modified machine is also optimized for drag racing. We think the GT500 is the fastest machine, judging by the way they race. Despite the outcome, it seems that the Shelby driver missed a shift. The launch of the GT500 wasn’t particularly impressive.
We are eager to see Shelby’s new flagship car race against the Demon in the GT500 versus Demon drag racing. Ford claims the GT500 will be able to cover the quarter-mile in under 11 seconds and reach speeds of 180 miles per hour (289.5 kilometers per hour). These figures are for the factory model, so it is possible to imagine what modifications could be made.
