Dodge still has many interesting colors.
Few brands offer the crazy color palettes and cool names of Dodge. Dodge is a great choice in a sea of gray and silver. Unfortunately, one of the many unusual colors has left the stage.
According to Mopar Insiders, Gold Rush will end for all Dodge vehicles by July 31st. This information comes from an internal Dodge communication that was sent to dealers warning them about the impending doom of Gold Rush. We don’t think that special colors last long, so we are not surprised by the information. The color was listed in the online configurators for the Challenger as well as the Charger, but it is likely to disappear on August 1.
Gold Rush is a strange color. It’s somewhere in the middle of yellow and pea green, but not quite being a brilliant gold. This color was first introduced in 2019 to commemorate the 50th anniversary edition of Dodge Challenger 2020. It was initially limited to Dodge’s two door muscle car. The four-door Charger’s higher-performance models were eventually able to use it, but the Gold Rush trim was still used regardless of model or trim level.
We doubt that this will be the last we see Gold Rush due to Dodge’s propensity to recycle special colors. Although the name may change, Challenger sales are still doing well so we wouldn’t be surprised if it makes an appearance for another special edition model. The company’s next-generation electric muscle car might have Gold Rush as a color. This was just teased. Dodge will continue to stand out with its wide range of exterior colors, even though Gold Rush is over.
