The exterior of the three-row SUV has received a few updates to make it more attractive.
Dodge has made Durango even more aggressive in design – not because it was already aggressive enough, especially the 475 horsepower (354-kilowatts) SRT model. The three-row SUV gets a few exterior upgrades, including a performance-inspired Rallye design, and a variety of new colors.
As part of the styling package, a performance hood, front fascia and LED fog light have been added. The engine cover now includes a cold air filter and two heat extractors. The front fascia, fog lights and other upgrades are largely borrowed from the Durango R/T models.
The aggressive new look comes in seven colors: Vice White, White Knuckle and Octane Red. Redline Red is also available. In-Violet has 20-inch Hyper Black aluminum wheels, as well as optional Brass Monkey wheels with the Blacktop package. The exterior might be updated, but the interior and powertrain will remain the same.
More Durango Dispatches
The Durango’s interior features the same leather-trimmed bucket seats with suede inserts as the GT model. The package also includes a power liftgate and heated first- and second row seats. Underhood, the same Pentastar V6 of 3.6-liters producing 295 horsepower (219 kW) 260 pound-feet (352 Nms) of torque is still available. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, stop-start technology and either rear- or all-wheel drive. The V6 Durango can also tow 6,200 pounds (2.812 kg) at its best.
Steve Beahm from Dodge, Head of Passenger Cars, stated that while Durango R/T and Durango SRT are loved by many customers, they also love the Pentastar V-6 engine with 295 horsepower and excellent fuel economy. The Durango GT Rallye Package offers three-row SUV owners the best of both worlds with this new package.
For an additional $1,495, those looking for a Durango GT may choose to purchase the Rallye Appearance Package. This adds $1,495 to the GT’s MSRP. Standard Durango GT prices start at $37,795 if you choose the rear-wheel drive model or $40,395 if you go all-wheel-drive.
