Dodge Electric Muscle Car Launched Before 2024

It can also do a four-wheel burnout.

A Dodge electric muscle car will be coming in 2024. The company has released a teaser video. Although the automaker has not yet provided many details, we can see a glimpse of what to expect in the clip.

Although the teaser does not show the car in its entirety, the rounded corners on the front of the vehicle immediately recall the 1970 Dodge Challenger. An LED strip is placed underneath the car and vertically on the sides. This is a modern touch that is very similar to the bumper of the first-year Challenger.

It appears that the raised sections on the hood are also from the Challenger’s early days. This element is more prominent than the classic coupes, however.

One image shows the car sideways. The Challenger’s flowing roofline is the main styling inspiration.

Rear appears to have recessed taillights which is another classic Challenger design cue.Dodge Electric Muscle Car Launched Before 2024

The emblem’s triangular shape is blue on its front and red on its back. This is a stylized version the Fratzog badge that was used from 1962 to 1976 Dodges. According a Dodge Forum story, Fratzog does not mean anything. The company asked the designer to name the design. He came up with something absurd.

It is unknown what the powertrain of this machine is, other than it being an electric motor. The car performs a four-wheel burnout at the end of the video. We can infer that there is at least one electric motor driving each axle.

Stellantis’ EV Day was where all brands were able to discuss their futures. Dodge put emphasis on performance and had Tim Kuniskis, Dodge’s boss, stand outside the Dodge family home with a collection of historic Dodge models displayed outside.

However, the video’s message is prone to cognitive dissonance. In the first minute, there is a bold message that states: “Dodge will not sell electric cars.” It seems that the company is going to be focusing on hybrids, but it’s not. The automaker is at 3:33.
