The Tonale platform will be the basis of it.
It is the most simple to remember the Dodge US lineup. There are two muscle cars: the four-door Challenger and two-door Challenger. The SUV is represented by the Dodge Durango. Recent rumors point to a new addition in this small-populated range. It is the Dodge Hornet. We have to be honest and say that these rumors are just that.
According to Passione Auto Italiane‘s report, the new Dodge was built at the Pomigliano D’Arco, Italy alongside the upcoming Alfa Romeo Tonale. This information is allegedly confirmed and confirmed by Stellantis. Rumours also suggest that the Dodge Hornet will use the sub- Stelvio crossover. It will use the same turbo 2.0-liter GME motor.
Although the report did not mention a hybrid Dodge Dodge crossover, it is possible to expect one since the Alfa Romeo Tonale will be equipped with a PHEV version. This was the exact thing that impacted its schedule. It is worth noting that Jean Philippe Imparato, CEO Alfa Romeo, wanted better performance out of the Tonale PHEV system. This delayed its introduction to the market. Although it was supposed to be announced in November, recent developments suggest that this may not be true.
We can see that the Dodge Hornet was a long-awaited model. The Dodge Hornet Concept was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006, and the nameplate was officially revealed. (see gallery below). In 2008, rumors circulated that Chrysler was working on the model’s production edition. However, that rumor never came to fruition. Although it may be 15 years before Dodge Hornet makes its production debut, at least it will make its way to US showrooms.
