Dodge, Kia Tie for the Highest Initial Quality Rating from J.D. Power

This is the first time that a domestic automaker has made it to the top of the list.

J.D. The number of problems per 100 vehicles determines power. PP100. Higher initial quality is reflected in a lower score. With a score of 136PP100, Dodge and Kia scored the lowest. This is well below the industry average which was 166. Ram placed third, alongside Chevy, with 141PP100. Chrysler scored 189, however.

However, the report was not all sunshine and rainbows. This year’s study showed that premium brands were not doing well, with Lexus, Cadillac, and Genesis falling below the industry average. Japanese brands also suffered, with quality staples such as Toyota and Honda falling below the industry average. Both scored 177 PP100.

Tesla was included in this year’s rankings for the first-time, although J.D. It didn’t meet the criteria for power’s ranking. It’s unlikely that the automaker is pleased with the results, which are 250 PP100. This is a lot more than the 228 PP110 Land Rover and Audi, respectively. Audi comes in second with 225 PP100.

Nearly a quarter of the problems that new cars experience are related to their infotainment system. Common issues were voice recognition, Bluetooth Connectivity and Android Auto Connectivity.

Hyundai Motor Group received seven model-level awards for Genesis, the premium brand with the highest ranking. G.M. G.M. J.D. also offers other studies, including the IQS. This summer, power is something to be on the lookout for. The APEAL Study, which measures owner’s satisfaction with their car, will arrive within the next few weeks.
