Dodge unveils a new logo to emphasize performance

The new Dodge logo will convey a sportier image of the brand. When Chrysler created the Ram Truck brand, Dodge needed a new logo.

Chrysler’s new logo is for Dodge, to show its distinction as a marque for performance-oriented vehicles.

Dodge’s head has been dropped from the Dodge logo and the Dodge logo now features two slanted racing stripes above the “E” of Dodge – all capital letters. According to the automaker, the brand’s new logo promotes the ideal of “forever young”.

Chrysler created a new logo for Dodge to represent its Ram Truck brand. Chrysler views Dodge as the brand for performance vehicles like the Dodge Charger or Challenger.

Dodge hired Wieden & Kennedy in January to help create a more sporty image for its brand. Wieden and Kennedy are most well-known for their work on Nike advertising.

The logo’s double red stripes will be used in marketing materials, but they will not be on badges or dealership signs.
