The Demon is capable of doing it all.
The Dodge Demon drag racer is purpose-built on the Dodge Challenger platform. Customers wanted more from the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, which proved that a supercharged V8 was the right engine for the Challenger. Dodge decided to make a limited number of Dodge Demons to satisfy the demand. The Dodge Demon’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 motor produces 801 horsepower using normal pump gas, and 840 horsepower when running on 100 octane race fuel. The 6.2-liter V8 engine is forced-fed air by a 2.7-liter Supercharger. It requires more than 100 horsepower to run. Because of the elimination of the interior seats, the Demon weighed 215 more than the Hellcat. As standard equipment, the Demon had a driver’s seat and passenger seats as an optional one-dollar extra.
The demon came stock with a unique package of tires and wheels. The Demon has a square stance and 315/40R18 tires at the corners. A set of front skinnies were provided to Demon’s drivers upon his arrival at the drag strip. Demonology discovered that even 24 inch wheels won’t stop Demonology from dominating drag strip.
