Take the whole family off-grid.
Earth Cruiser is known for making some truly impressive off-road motorhomes. There has never been enough space for more than two people to ride in the FX or EXP Expedition vehicles. But that is now changing with the new dual-cab models.
These new designs are extensions to the existing FX and EXP models. Fuso chassis will be underneath the new designs. The GM-sourced 6.0-liter Vortec engine, which produces 297 horsepower (221 kilowatts), and 361 pound feet (490 Newton meters) of torque, is sourced from Fuso. The Allison six-speed automatic transmission transmits power to all four wheels. It rides on Dynatrac Pro Series 80 axles with both front and back ARB lockers. The adventure RV can leave roads and trails further behind with its skid plates, brush guards and big winch.
The big news is that the cabin now can accommodate four people instead of just two. This extra cab comes with two captain’s chairs, which provide safety restraints for those who are navigating on uneven terrain. Each model has a pass-through into the living space, both single- and dual-cab.
“We have been anticipating the dual cab release ever since the V8 platform was first designed,” stated Chad Knight, EarthCruiser General manager. “Our owners have been living adventurous lives for years. They’ve gone further over the years. Our next generation can share their adventures with their children, parents and friends thanks to the dual cab platform.
The living space includes a fully equipped kitchen, pull-out fridge, stove, and composting toilet. There is also a large dining area. Water filtration and a hot water heater are available. Standard-issue power is provided by a 400-amp-hour battery system, which can be charged via an alternator charger, 3000-watt inverter/charger and three 108-watt panels. There are many options, including a pop-top bed, which offers extra sleeping space and storage, as well as upgraded exterior lights and a rear-mounted winch.
The pricing for dual-cab models has not been mentioned, but both EXP models and FX models can be ordered now.
