An unusual Nissan Maxima that was converted into a convertible has not been sold on eBay in recent months.
The vehicle started out as a fully-loaded 2004 Nissan Maxima, but was later converted to a convertible with suicide doors. It appears to be in excellent condition, having been driven only 17,428 miles (28.047 km). The vehicle is finished in a polished pewter metallic finish and includes a variety of extras, including heated front and rear seats, cruise control, power windows, and what the seller calls a “very rare Nissan OEM central console unit with navigation”.
This four-seater cabrio is 2 inches lower than the 2004MY Maxima and has had some mechanical upgrades, such as custom stainless steel exhaust, drilled brake rotors and Infiniti-sourced tires. The same six-cylinder, 3.5-liter engine produces 265 bhp as well as 255 lb-ft of power.
The seller also mentions that there is a 1-inch cross-pattern metal tubing welded reinforcing device from the firewall behind the rear seats for added rigidity.
It seems like a decent conversion overall, but the Maxima did not sell on eBay because the reserve was not met. There were no less than 30 bids for the Maxima, the highest being $10,100.
