It will be in production next year.
A very cute all-electric bus, was unveiled to the world in July. The eBussy, which was introduced by a German firm called Electric Brands, was presented . While it’s not the most original way to name your EV project, you’ll soon forget about it after seeing the actual product.
The eBussy modular zero-emission bus is available in two body styles. A base frame is available for special vehicles such as trucks, vans, mini trucks, convertibles, campers, and more. The latter seems to be very popular.
Electric Brands does not disclose concrete numbers but reports that camper models dominate early reservations for the eBussy. The company has received 4,076 reservations since pre-sale books were opened in July. You can track the real-time order numbers on their page.
Although the project is still in its early stages, production should begin next year. The project is constantly changing with recent plans for a faster and more powerful version. Although the base model has a 10-kWh battery, it is sufficient to provide a range of approximately 124 miles (200 km) on two charges. This is possible due to the vehicle’s light weight, which can range from 992 pounds (450 kg) to 1,322 pounds (660 kg), depending on its body style.
However, there is a better version. The larger battery (30 kWh) can take it up to 373 miles (600km) on one charge. The electric motor that powers all models is a modest 20-horsepower motor, claiming a claimed 737 pound-feet (1,100 Nm) of torque.
What is the cost of this chassis? Base chassis models without additional equipment start at EUR15.800, or $18,391 according to current exchange rates. The camper’s price almost doubles.
