Musk admits that mistakes were made.
The unveiling event for Tesla’s Cybertruck was anything but ordinary. Elon Musk’s moment of “Oh my ****** God” will live in the memory for a long period. Now, we have an official explanation by the man about what went wrong during the test that showed the strength of the “Armor Glass.”
The Tesla head honcho, Tweet, explained why the side window cracked after it was struck with a steel ball by Franz von Holzhuasen, the chief designer. After some internal analysis, they concluded that the steel ball and sledgehammer tests were not performed in the correct order. The “armor glass”, which is made more fragile by smashing the door with a sledgehammer, was apparently broken by the impact of hitting it with the sledgehammer.
But what about the rear windows? The rear window was tested with the steel ball. This result was similar to the one with the front panel. Although the tweet does not explain it, some claim that the Cybertruck didn’t have the “armorglass” in its back according to a statement made at the event by a Tesla worker.
