Emissions Regulations Force Nissan GT-R to Discontinue in Europe

Nissan GT-R Discontinued In Europe Because Of Emissions Regulations

It’s still readily available in the USA.

Although the Nissan GT-R was first launched in 2007, it is still considered one of the most powerful supercars on the planet. Although a new successor is possible, the Japanese manufacturer has already discontinued the current generation. It seems Europe has also decided to say goodbye to the GT-R after Nissan Australia cancelled the GT-R there due to stricter crash regulations.

Autoblog.nl states that the GT-R has been discontinued in many European countries. Although you can order one in Germany or Belgium, dealers Nissan in Spain, Italy, Spain and other countries will not accept orders for this supercar. The GT-R is not listed on the official websites of the company in these countries. A confirmation was also provided by Nissan to the Dutch publication that the Godzilla will be leaving Europe’s market due to stricter emission standards.

Autoblog.nl mentions that the GT-R was an extremely expensive car in the Netherlands and it was difficult for dealers to sell it. The GT-R Nismo was priced at EUR303,000. The base price for the standard GT-R was EUR183,000 when it was last available in The Netherlands. This is equivalent to $200,000 and $332,000 in US dollars. Side note: We were unable to find a starting cost for the GT-R GT-R on Nissan Germany’s website.

You can still order a new 2021 GT-R in the United States. The 2021 model year prices start at $113,540. This makes the supercar much more affordable than it is in Europe. The 2022 model is not available on Nissan’s US website. However, the GT-R Nismo still exists starting at $210740 MSRP
