People who are car sick will not enjoy this ride.
The 500 Abarth is fine when driving on highways at normal speeds. However, things start to get strange as you increase your velocity. The little hatchback begins to bounce a bit at speeds of around 87 mph (140 km/h). The bucking motion gets worse. The Fiat appears to be riding on a pogostick at 106 mph (170mph). The driver holds on and manages to push the 500 Abarth up to 124 mph (200 km/h). The video shows that the hot hatch is tiny and can only go 124 mph (200 kph). The speedometer briefly reaches 200 kph, before the driver stops the run.
European buyers still have the option to purchase high performance versions of the 500 Abarth, but not for long. The engine is a combustion engine. Fiat President Olivier Francois stated previously on social media , that an Abarth version would eventually be available for the electric 500e. To create the electric hot hatch, you would probably take the 500e and add a stronger motor and increase the battery capacity. This will allow for a longer driving range. There are also possibilities for larger wheels and a more aggressive body. However, it is not known when the vehicle will debut.
