These upgrades add almost $64,000 to the price of the coupe.
The new 755-horsepower (563 kilowatts) is no longer the best choice. Instead, Germany’s Geiger Cars offers a circuit-prepped version of the Z06 Carbon 65 Edition. It comes with a safety harness, roll cage, and a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that produces 759 horsepower (566 kW) as well as 729 pound-feet (989 Newton meters) of torque.
Geiger Cars retains much of the Carbon 65 Edition’s carbon fiber and adds more. The new body kit features a front grille with improved airflow, fender vents and tweaked side skirts. Geiger also has its own rear sub-frame, complete with integrated diffuser. You can also choose from three types of rear spoilers: a flat or full-race setup, or a subtle flat one. These changes give the firm a more aggressive look without making it too flashy.
The tuner installs four point racing harnesses inside and a Heigo rollbar.
Geiger Cars replaced the standard Eaton supercharger of 1.7-liter with a screw-type unit of 2.3-liter to increase the Z06’s horsepower by 650 hp (485 kW). Geiger Cars also adjusts the throttle, intake and software. The eight-speed automatic and seven-speed manual versions of the car are still available. This resulted in a coupe capable of reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds. It also has a maximum speed of 209 MPH (337 kph), compared to 210 MPH (338 kph), Chevy’s ZL1.
Geiger Cars wants people to use the cars at the track. It makes many upgrades to ensure that this happens. The coupe is more reliable when lapping a circuit thanks to modifications to the powertrain cooling system. Redesigned suspension knuckles are also available from the firm, which lowers ride height and provides more powerful brakes. Sets of HRE wheels are available with either Pilot Sport Cup 2 or Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
These upgrades are sold a la carte by the company, which means that prices can quickly rise.
