Every Lamborghini Aventador Drag Race From Base to SVJ

These Lamborghini Aventadors have been upgraded for more than ten years.

Ever wondered which Lamborghini Aventador is fastest in a drag race. Today is your lucky day because carwow has assembled every Lamborghini Aventador that was ever made for drag racing. Let’s find out which Aventador reigns supreme on the drag strip, starting at the base.

Lamborghini Aventador was introduced in 2011. It has been in production since then. The Lamborghini team has been continuously improving the base car throughout this long production run. The engineers at Lamborghini were able to refine the Aventador platform, and get the best performance. In 2023, the Aventador will be replaced by a V12 supercar. This means that the 2022 Lamborghini Aventador LP780-4 Ultimae version of the iconic supercar is now obsolete.

We start with the Lamborghini Aventador 700-4, which was first released in 2011. The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 is the foundation for all subsequent versions. The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4’s 6.5-liter V12 engine L539 produces 690 horsepower (515 Kilowatts), and 509 lb.ft (690 Newton meters) of torque. The powerful V12 engine transmits power to all four wheels using a single-clutch automated manual 7-speed transmission. It is manufactured by Graziano Trasmissioni, Turin, Italy.

The Lamborghini Aventador S LP740-4 is next in the lineup. This was introduced in 2016 as an upgrade to the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. The V12 6.5-liter engine produced 730 horsepower (544 Kilowatts), while the torque output was unchanged at 509 lb/ft (690 Newton-meters). Minor exterior modifications were made to improve aerodynamic performance and the drivetrain remained unchanged from the original Aventador.

In 2015, the Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce LP750-4 was introduced as the first performance version. Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce LP750-4 has a more powerful 6.5-liter V12 motor that produces 740 horsepower (552 Kilowatts), and 509 lb.ft (690 Newton meters) of torque. Aventador SuperVeloce LP750-4 features a 100lb weight reduction (50 kg) and 180% more downforce compared to the original Aventador LP 700-4.

Next, we have the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ LP770-4. This car is one of Lamborghini’s most remarkable creations. It set the Nurburgring lap record with a time in 6 minutes 44 seconds. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ LP770-4’s engine is a highly upgraded version of the L539 V12. It now produces 759 horsepower (566 Kilowatts), and 531 lb/ft (731 Newton meters) of torque. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ LP770-4 also features engine upgrades. It produces 40% more downforce than the Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce LP750-4 and has a lower drag coefficient of 1%.

The Lamborghini Aventador, LP780-4 Ultimae, is the final year of the Aventador’s 11-year production run. Only 350 examples were made of this supercar in limited production. This supercar features 10 years of Aventador production expertise and the most powerful V12 Aventador lineup, with 769 horsepower (574 Kilowatts), and 531 lb/ft (731 Newton meters) of torque. The carwow drag race using the Lamborghini Aventador LP780-4 Ultimatee was canceled due to the engine not having completed its necessary break-in.
