Maserati went a different route during its 2019 NY Auto Show run. It launched a new car instead of unveiling a new model. Ray Allen, a two-time NBA Champion, is the proud owner of this shiny new vehicle.
Ray Allen is most well-known for his thrilling dunks in the 90s and his incredible three-point shooting which earned LeBron James his second championship as a Miami Heat. Allen became obsessed with Miami during the latter. Maserati gave him his Levante.
Inductee to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame received a Levante GTS customized with Blu Astro tricoat exterior paint. The color was said to have been inspired by the astral color of the galaxy and the representations of the colors in Miami. The exterior details are completed by the dark chrome finish and carbon fiber accents on door handles and side mirrors.
The interior of the Levante GTS One of One features blue denim trims. You will also find carbon fiber accents, Ray Allen’s signature on each of the headrests, and the “for Ray” engraving on the door sills. You will also find basketball-inspired accents on the floor mats.
It is important to note that the bulk of customization on the Levante GTS One of One vehicle is only cosmetic. Allen’s new car will continue to use the 3.8-Liter twin-turbo V8 twin-turbo engine, which can produce 542 horsepower as well as 538 pound-feet of torque.
