FCA Is Hosting A Sketch Battle For Outrageous Ram Designs

The contest will be judged by Mark Trostle and Ralph Gilles, the heads of design at FCA.

FCA North America launched a contest on Facebook asking the public to submit their most bizarre Ram pickup designs. The contest, in which Ralph Gilles, FCA Head Of Design, and Mark Trostle (Ram Truck Head of Exterior Design) will judge the sketch battle for one day, is meant to increase awareness about the company’s Drive for Design contest for high-school students. A funky, Dodge Challenger-based RAMpage concept sketch is sure to inspire entrants. It harkens back to the 1980s unibody coupe utility pickup.

Participants can either leave a comment with their entries on the post announcing this sketch battle or tweet them to @FiatChrysler_NA. All entries must be received by April 9th at 5 PM Eastern Time. High school students are invited to participate in the contest. The teens will be designing the Ram truck of tomorrow.

We really love the Challenger Rampage FCA contest announcement. The entire frontal area between the B-pillar and the front axle looks muscle-car. However, the grille, headlights, and grille are clearly taken from the RAM 1500. A longer rear end houses a small cargo box. Funny enough, the Dodge Rampage mini-truck was also inspired by the company’s modern sports coupes, the front-wheel drive Charger and Omni 024.
