This weekend, Ferrari’s Tailor Made debuts the latest prancing horse at Le Mans.
This special edition is not available to anyone who is involved in Ferrari’s race car program. The Ferrari 488 Pista is a new specification by Tailor Made. It’s only available to clients who are involved in Maranello motorsport efforts, and not client racing drivers.
The special Pista features the same Italian flag motif as the 488 GT race car. It also has a laurel to commemorate Ferrari’s 2017 WEC victory, and the “PRO” lettering that indicates the class the car raced in. S-duct is finished in matte black, the naked carbon fibre rear spoiler and vent surrounds with a similar finish are just a few of the visual changes to the standard Pista.
The cabin has also been updated with new seats made from black Alcantara. They are arranged in a custom perforated configuration, with the Italian flag embedded in their central band. The Tricolore theme from Italy has been applied to the edges of the gearshift paddles as well as the floor mats. These, along with the carpeting were created specifically for the Piloti Ferrari specification and are made from a special technical fabric.
The link between the Pista’s number and AF Corse is found here. The 51 car is found inside, where the number was applied to the base of the steering column. To complete the upgrades, a carbon sill trim is included and an identification plate is added. The Ferrari 488 Pista Ferrari “Piloti Ferrari”, will be displayed at Circuit de la Sarthe, France this weekend.
