Mansory can transform an already flashy car into something even more eye-catching.
Mansory, the controversial tuner, is back. The Ferrari F8 Spider has a lot of carbon-fiber accessories this time. The aftermarket specialist calls the “soft kit” a “soft package”. This is not a complete makeover for the Italian stallion. The package gives the Maranello performance cabrio an unusual look from all angles.
Mansory did not make any changes to the original body panels, so it’s called a soft kit. It instead added carbon fiber bits with yellow accents, to contrast the red. These upgrades are also available on the coupe version.
F8 Tributo . Each can have a variety of accessories, such as a prominent front splitter and chunky side skirt extensions.
The tuner can also dip the side mirror caps into carbon fiber and add an extra rear spoiler to the OEM set. Mansory used the lightweight material from the door handles to engine bay. It’s also visible at the back, where you can see the air intakes cooling V8’s mid-mounted engine.
The twin-turbo, 3.9-liter engine has been tuned to produce 880 horsepower and a massive 960 Newton-meters (708-pound-feet of torque). The Ferrari F8 Spider can reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h), from a standstill, in as little as 2.5 seconds. This reduces the sprint time by 0.3 seconds. Top speed, though not mentioned, is likely to be higher than the standard model’s 221 mph (354 km/h).
Mansory also removed the stock alloys in order to make way for its own set of black wheels measuring 22 inches at each end and 21 inches at the front. To complement the large brake discs that lurk behind, yellow accents were added to the outer lip. The same color has been used on the canards. We think they are too large, even for a Ferrari.3
It is hard to imagine what a fully-designed Mansory car would look like without the limitations of a donor car. While their projects are amazing, a vehicle built from scratch would make the F8 Spider look almost mundane.
