There has been no official explanation.

11115 – That’s the number of Ferrari cars sold in 2021. It was a record breaking year for Maranello. The number of V8-powered cars was up 34.6 percent over the previous year, so it’s no surprise that Spider and F8 Tributo were in high demand. The two models were actually the top-selling in Europe last year. However, they are no longer available for order.

Automotive News Europe cites Jacopo Markin, Ferrari’s product manager for the sports cars segment, as confirming the decision not to sell the F8 duo. Although no official explanation has been provided, CEO Benedetto VIgna stated last month that Ferrari is enjoying its “strongest ever order books in history.” It’ll keep the Prancing Horse busy well into 2023. This could indicate that the last production run of the two cars is complete. This has not been confirmed by the Italian marque.

This seems plausible, considering that customer deliveries of 296 GTBs have already begun and the 296 spider is just around the corner. The plug-in hybrid V6 models are expected to replace the F8s. Even Ferrari must downsize and electrify in order to comply with strict emissions regulations. The new 296 models, despite having two less cylinders than the F8s, have more power thanks to an electric motor that adds extra power.

Jacopo Marcon stated that production of the F8 Tributo Spider and F8 Tributo will continue during a media test drive event for the 296 GTB. He did not specify when they would be ending production. Ferrari will continue to have the Roma, Portofino M and the SF90 Stradale / Spider V8-powered vehicles, as well as the Purosangue SUV.

It has also promised to keep the V12 engine, promising even more power than the Competizione / Competizione B’s 830-hp. We are also eager to see a LaFerrari successor.

We’re reaching out at Ferrari to see what they have in store for the F8 Tributo or F8 Spider. If we get a response, we will update this article.c
