A supercar engine for as little as $1M would you buy from an eBay listing?

Auctions have a common rule that states that if a listing fails to sell and is relisted, the new starting price should not be higher than the previous one. However, the folks behind vintage-n-exotics eBay account prefer the opposite approach. After a previous listing in 2017, this 2017 Ferrari LaFerrariV12 motor is now for sale with a Buy It Now $800,000..

The description of the engine doesn’t address many of the questions, such as how it was obtained. Prospective buyers are not allowed to see the mill in detail with only three images.

The 6.3-liter V12 generates 789 horsepower (588kilowatts) as well as 516 pound-feet (706 Newton-meters). Hybrid assistance is available in the LaFerrari. However, these components are not included in this listing.

It is not known if the engine will be sold with the ECU, wiring harness or transmission. If you don’t have a LaFerrari that needs a new heart, it isn’t clear what the purpose of the engine would be. Although the powerplant is a beautiful centerpiece for any room, it’s not an affordable piece of decor at $800,000.
