Ferrari Never Thought of Dino Name for 296 GTB V6 hybrid Supercar

The original Dino was more than a V6 engine.

It was June 24th that something very significant happened in supercar world. A Ferrari was the first to use a V6 engine as its heart. Some people say not so fast But what about the Dino? This is a matter of contention as Dino was a Ferrari part, but the cars were not marketed as Ferraris. We now have the 296 GTB with its hybrid-V6 powertrain. Ferrari claims it’s and not. It wasn’t destined to become one.

It turns out that the reason for this is the same as in the original Dino era, which was the 1960s and 1970s. Enrico Galliera, Ferrari’s Chief Market Officer, explained that the Dino was not just a V6-powered Ferrari. Dino was created to attract new clients and to enter a new market. Galliera stated that there were compromises made regarding vehicle dimensions, performance, price, and other aspects. Although the details of these compromises are not discussed, the conclusion is that the original Dino did not live up to Ferrari’s expectation

Fast forward to 2021. Flash forward to 2021. The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter engine produces 654 horsepower (488 megawatts) by itself. The total output is 818 horsepower (610 kW) when the e-motor is mounted at the rear. This is enough power to match the HTML8 Tributo with its magnificent twin-turbo V8 in almost every performance metric. It’s also slightly lighter than the Tributo at 3,241 pounds. We don’t have any information on the price but we don’t expect any compromises. We know that this car will be a spiritual successor to the Dino. They will be calling it that, regardless of whether Ferrari approves.
