The V12 engine that powers the camouflaged Ferrari Purosangue SUV can be clearly heard.
Recently, the Ferrari Purosangue SUV was seen being tested on streets near Modena’s Ferrari factory. This SUV marks a new milestone for Ferrari, which has spent many years designing it. Ferrari’s first SUV, the Ferrari F1, is nearing release.
Ferrari’s first venture into the ultra-luxury SUV market will be the Ferrari Purosangue SUV. It will have to compete with Bentley, Lamborghini and Aston Martin as well as virtually all other luxury brands that make performance SUVs.
Benedetto Vigna, Ferrari CEO, recently stated that Ferrari had tested many engine options and ultimately chose a V12 for the market. Ferrari hasn’t yet confirmed the power numbers for the Purosangue SUV, nor a price. However, we suspect that you can’t afford Ferraris new SUV if you ask.
According to Niki Motorsport’s spy video, the Ferrari V12’s exhaust note is the same as the predecessors. This SUV is more like a wagon than an SUV. This design will keep the center of gravity lower than other competitors, which makes it easier to handle but also sacrifices ground clearance or storage volume.
Ferrari did not announce a debut date for the Purosangue SUV, but stated that we should continue to learn about its revolutionary V12 engine. We should see the production-ready Purosangue along with its new V12 engine.
Delivery of the Purosangue SUV is scheduled to begin in 2023. This SUV could become Ferrari’s most-sold model due to high demand.
