Maranello can build a Ferrari for you when a standard Ferrari is just not enough.
The latest Ferrari creation, which follows V12-powered specials like the Omologata or BR20 has a V8 heart. Although the SP48 Unica is based upon the F8 Tributo’s body, it can be difficult to tell as the body has undergone extensive redesigns. This one-of-a kind creation was ordered by a long-standing client, who was also involved in its development. The Prancing Horse even claims that the buyer was involved in every stage of the development process.
The all-new front fascia was conceived using procedural-parametric modeling techniques and 3D prototyping. The SP48 Unica grille has a tridimensional effect similar to the one seen on the SP48. This gives the supercar an entirely new frontal design, compared to its oh so-familiar. F8 Tributo It is also the predecessors of 488 and 458.
The rear is now sleeker after the removal of the window and the replacement of the quad-round taillights by slim LED bars. These bars also emit a Romavibe. The profile has other changes, including a new wheel design and different side air intakes that are slightly lower on the SP48 Unica. The side skirts are also made of more black surfaces.
Ferrari does not mention any mechanical changes. The one-off will likely inherit the twin-turbo, 3.9-liter V8 from F8 Tributo. It’s capable of 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet (568 lb-ft) of torque, which can propel the Italian stallion to speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h). This car takes 2.9 seconds. It can go from 0 to 124 MPH (200 km/h), in 7.8 seconds, and maximum speed is 211 MPH (340 km/h).
Although Ferrari has not yet provided any information about the price, it is certain that Ferrari paid a substantial premium for the SP48 Unica compared to the $280,000 F8 Tributo.
