Although it looks like the 1980s, it is much more capable than the original.

After initially showing off the Ferrari Testarossa under camouflage last summer, Officine Fioravanti finally gives it a proper debut. The exterior isn’t too different from the original, but the mechanical modifications give the supercar an additional 107 horsepower (80 Kilowatts) as well as a 287-pound (135-kilogram) diet.

Flat-12 engines still have a 4943.04cc displacement. However, Officine Fioravanti replaces the original mechanical fuel injection system with an electronic controlled system. Instead of the 6,700 revs, the powerplant now runs at 9,000 rpm.

It takes only a flip of a switch to the center console for the driver to feel the difference in the output between the original and the upgraded output. The mill produces the 385 horsepower (287 kW) that is required for European-market Testarossa. It can be turned to unlock the full 492 horsepower (367 kW), available through these upgrades. Officine Fioravanti says this Tesarossa can reach 199 mph (320 km/h), which is more than the factory version of 181 mph (291 Kph).

The Testarossa Restomod includes parts that make it more responsive and handle like a supercar. You will find four adjustable Ohlins shock absorbers and six new anti-roll bars. From lock to lock, the steering can now be turned only two times. Brembo brakes feature six-piston calipers front and four-piston stoppers back.

Two knobs at the center console let you select from different Wet, Normal and Sport modes for anti-lock brakes or traction control.

Officine Fioravanti makes only a few minor changes to the exterior. The LED illumination is now available on the pop-up headlights. Instead of the 16-inch Testarossa wheels, the company uses a staggered design with a 17-inch diameter front and 18-inch rear. This car was chosen by the buyer for its white body.

The Testarossa features a reupholstered cabin in a light brown color. Perforated leather is used for the door panels and seats. The original plastic parts on the dashboard, center console and doors are now billet aluminum. As a final touch, the old-school carphone that attaches at the passenger side to the center stack uses Bluetooth to function fully. The rear holds a set of luggage.
