Five new Ferrari models in a single year is an amazing feat.
2019 was a fantastic year for Ferrari enthusiasts. The Italian supercar manufacturer has not only introduced five new models but also produced a few one-offs. While Ferrari is working on 15 new models within five years, 2020 will be a more quiet year for the automaker. Enrico Galliera, Ferrari’s commercial chief, stated that the company will focus on 2020 sales of its latest models.
Galliera stated that some of Ferrari’s new models are located in new segments. The company will inform its clients, as well as its network, about where these new offerings fit within Ferrari’s range. Ferrari will “focus on the success of models we’ve already introduced in 2019” but that doesn’t mean there won’t be any new Ferraris released next year. 2020 won’t have the same amount of unveilings.
The F8 Tributo was Ferrari’s first official launch of 2019, which took place in March. The F8 Tributo was equipped with Ferrari’s most powerful V8 engine, a twin-turbo V8 3.9-liter V8 that produced 720 horsepower (570 Newton-meters) and 568 poundfeet (536 kilowatts). The SF90 Stradale, a hybrid 986-hp/707-kW Ferrari, was introduced in May. Ferrari’s most powerful V8 engine was also featured in the Stradale’s, the turbocharged version of its 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 769 horsepower (573 kW).
Ferrari introduced two convertibles in September: the F8 Spider (and 812 GTS) The Roma is Ferrari’s unique Ferrari, which features a minimalistic design and a look that recalls models like the Ferrari 250 GT 2+2+ and Ferrari 250 GT 2+2.
This is a packed year of new cars. But Ferrari still has 10 models to introduce. The first SUV, Purosangue (end of 2022), will be its first. Although it is unlikely that five new Ferrari models will be introduced in the same year as one another, there are 10 more launches.
