Hamann-Motorsport, a German tuner, has created a great set of performance upgrades to the Abarth 500 and 500. These upgrades can be accessed in stages and provide a maximum of 275 PS (202kW / 271 HP) and up to 385 Nm torque.
This is a remarkable improvement considering that the Abarth 500 can produce 135 PS (99kW/133 hp from the 1.4-liter motor, while the 500 esseesse has a maximum 160 PS (118kW/158 hp and 230 Nm (170lb-ft).
There are five levels of Hamann mods, the lowest being 160 PS and 285Nm (210 lb-ft). The engine computer, turbo charger and exhaust system were all addressed by technicians. The powertrain is also being addressed by technicians using new connecting rods and forged pistons, an air cooler, racing clutches, modified gearboxes, and a flywheel. The larger brake discs are mounted behind 18-inch rims in matte or glossy black and have four-piston callipers. You can also get a self-locking differential.
Hamann will also add aerodynamics to match the upgrades. This includes a front skirt with LED daytime lighting. The wing extends the car’s front by 30mm and the rear by by 35mm. Also, new side skirts have been added.
