Fiat Fiorino MPV – Previewed at Geneva Motor Show

Fiat Fiorino, already presented at Bologna Motor Show has received an MPV version that can carry up to five persons.

Soon, there will be two Fiat Fiorino around the globe. The Brazilian market still has the first Fiat Fiorino, which is priced at R$ 35480 (equivalent to a 13,903). It comes from the Fiat Uno, yes, the one from 1980aEUR(tm), still available in Brazil and still selling well). It’s the one in the gallery to the right. This green vehicle is a modern people-mover that will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show.

The 3.96 m-long MPV is not new to the public. Or the vehicle has grown 10 cm in a short period of time, or the MPV version is really 10 cm larger (in Bologna, the only version presented was the van), or the first press release about the car was wrong. We’ll find out later. Fiorino has been available in Italy since December 2007, and the base price is a mere 9,100.

Fiat Fiorino MPV - Previewed at Geneva Motor Show

People who have never seen the Fiorino before will be able to see it at the Geneva Motor Show. They will also have the opportunity to meet the tiny green creature. Brazilian Fiorino is powered by a 1.3-litre Fire engine, which generates 71 cv of ethanol and 70 with petrol. This may lead people to believe that it is more efficient than the European model. Brazilians would prefer not to have this advantage and instead get the new Fiorino.

Fiorino, the Fiat model for both the CitroAn Nemo (and the Peugeot Bipper), is called Fiorino. The vehicle was produced in partnership with PSA Peugeot CitroAn and is available in three versions: SX, Adventure, and base. The last model has a 2 cm raised suspension for better handling in difficult terrain conditions. This is especially useful for emerging markets, and it only looks good in Europe. It would be more popular in Brazil as a replacement for DoblA2 rather than the Fiorino.
