Fiat has given the Croma station wagon a facelift, rationalizing its range and styling it as a benchmark in its segment. The interior of the Nuova Croma is praised as being spacious and flagship-worthy. It also features a wide range of powerful second-generation Multijet engines.

The Nuova Croma has been designed to be more dynamic in line with Fiat’s recent design language, as seen on the Punto and Brava hatchbacks. The new styling cues include a more balanced front end that features a longer bonnet, more prominent front lamps, a chrome grille, and more extended front lamps. The rear gets a subtle, sporty refresh with darkened lights and new bumper designs that incorporate new skirts.

Also, the cabin is given a minor nip-tuck. The Nuova Croma includes a new seat or leather upholstery. The instrument panel and steering wheels are also given a more refined, elegant design. There are many options available for the new model. The options include a DVD player, Blue&Me infotainment system, and an Interscope hi-fi speaker set. A variety of sensors, including rain, parking, and tyre pressure monitors as well as cruise control, help reduce fatigue while driving. As standard equipment, the entire range includes anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution and electronic stability programs systems.

The modular interior design allows for quick conversion of cargo space from 500 litres up to 1,610 Liters. This further highlights the practicalities of Fiat’s distinctive wagon.

Five drivetrains are available in combination with a variety of transmissions on Nuova Croma. Two petrol and three Multijet turbodiesels, ranging from 140 hp petrol models to 200 hp turbodiesels, will be mated to the appropriate gearboxes for each engine. Six-speed gearboxes are standard on all diesel models. They also have sequential gearshift on the 2.4 Multijet. This option is available on the 1.9-litre diesel. Both petrol models come standard with five-speed transmissions, while the 2.2-litre petrol can be ordered with the sequential auto unit.
