First Cadillac Blackwing Sedans Sold at Auction for Combined $430,000

It’s for a good cause, it’s obvious.

The initial allocation of Cadillac Blackwing sedans was limited to 250 units. This is impressive considering the fact that each high-powered sedan costs $125,980 for larger CT4_V Blackwing and $87,775 to purchase the larger CT5_V Blackwing.

The winning bidders for the first Blackwing production models didn’t have to worry about money. The two VIN001 Blackwing sedans were sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, Arizona. They raised $430,000 for Black Ambition.

Black Ambition, a PolicyLink non-profit initiative that Pharrell launched to bridge the racial equity and wealth gap, won the full amount. Barett-Jackson had waived the commissions and fees usually associated with their auctions.

The money that Cadillac raised at the auction will be used to award prizes to winners of Black Ambition’s business competitions. The money will be used to support the startups that win the competition.
