Like the front, the rear of this long-wheelbase Wagoneer doesn’t seem to have different styling cues than the existing model. It looks like Jeep is purely preparing to stretch the wheelbase and not make any other design tweaks.

The lack of exterior modifications suggests that the long-wheelbase Wagoneer may have a cabin that is largely identical to what is currently available. However, the extra length should allow for more legroom for those in the second and third rows. The cargo space should also increase.

For the long-wheelbase model, the powertrains will likely be unchanged The mild-hybrid V8 of 5.7-liters makes 392 horsepower (548 Newton-meters) and 404 pounds. The Grand Wagoneer is powered by a 6.4-liter engine that produces 471 horsepower (351 kW) as well as 455 lb.ft (617Nm). The engines are connected to an eight speed automatic. Depending on the trim level and model, there are three types of four-wheel drives available.

These spy photos show that the Wagoneer with long wheelbase appears ready for production. This model is expected to debut in showrooms this year. The larger SUV version could be in showrooms by 2022.
