Most people are familiar with Henrik Fisker’s work. He was a former Aston Martin designer and entrepreneur. His designs include the BMW Z8, Fisker Karma (now Karma Revero), the Aston Martin DB9, and the Fisker EMotion. Here’s an example of a Fisker-designed vehicle that you may not have known existed.
This is the 2006 Fisker Ltigo. It is the first and only production example of the Fisker Latigo ever made and is available for purchase on the website Bring A Trailer. The Latigo, brand new, would cost you around $216,000. However, bidding currently puts it at $37,500.
Initial production was planned for 150 units. However, after the development of the prototype and the first model (listed below), the project was abandoned. The Fisker, which was coachbuilt, rides on the bones a 2006 BMW M6 and has a rebuilt 5.0-liter V10 that was tuned by RD Sport for 665 horsepower (495 kilowatts). This power is coupled to a seven speed sequential manual transmission.
This car has only driven 3,700 miles (5.954 km) since it was new. It comes with all original records, a clean Carfax Report, and a California title in the seller’s name. The body is made of lightweight aluminum and carbon fibre and finished in a beautiful Titanium Silver Metallic.
The cabin has been finished in caramel-colored leather, with Fisker logos everywhere, including the door panels and seats. The steering wheel was sourced from a Mercedes E63. The light leather is offset by the black Alcantara headliner, and black carpets.
Only five days remain on the auction. Current bidding is less than $40,000.
