Fisker Teases Electric Sports with Range More Than 550 Miles

The price of the Ronin will be below $200,000.

Henrik Fisker shows us a teaser rendering of a new vehicle he calls the Ronin. We have to wait to see the prototype, which will debut in August 2023.

Fisker describes Ronin as a high-tech electric GT sportscar. His Instagram post (below) contains the only information. He expects a range of more than 550 miles (885 km) and plans to incorporate the battery pack into his vehicle’s structure. Prices should be below $200,000.

Fisker didn’t make it clear, but this could be the same vehicle that was teased in the post from January 2022 (below). Fisker briefly tweeted this image, but it was later deleted. The image was taken during computational fluid dynamics (CFD), testing. As a cover for the rear bodywork, the rendering of air moving over the body was also used. Fisker stated that the vehicle was in a “segment that doesn’t exist today, period.”

Fisker presented the production version last year of the Ocean electric crossover. Assembly will begin on November 17, 2022. Prices start at $37.499, and can rise to $68,999.

Ocean, the entry-level model, produces 275 horsepower (205kilowatts) and can reach 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. Each axle is powered by a motor, giving the Ultra trim a total power output of 540 horsepower (403 kW). It can reach 60 mph within 3.9 seconds and has a range of 340 miles (547 km). The Extreme grade has a total output of 550 horsepower (410 kW), and an estimated range of more than 250 miles (563 km).

Fisker has recently opened reservations for the Pear. The Pear is expected to launch in 2024 at a price starting at $29,900. The model is being marketed as an electric vehicle for urban dwellers.

Fisker is also developing an Alaska electric pickup. The company has not provided much information on the project in a while. The latest teaser was in January 2021. The truck had an angular design with a small cargo bed. At this time, the powertrain specifications are still a mystery.
