These Kias that are headed to America will have some leadership changes.
Kia will unveil its new logo within the next few days or weeks as it welcomes in a new Year. The refreshed branding will also include a new slogan . It will go from “The Power to Surprise” to the “Movement That Inspires”. At the end of 2020, the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service was able to file the new slogan.
It seems that Kia’s movement is not limited to its branding. Automotive News reports that the South Korean marque will unveil five new cars for the American market.
Automotive News’ report on the upcoming Kia cars was not a thorough one. Five of the five vehicles will be either completely new or substantially redesigned. We can name three of the five vehicles, but don’t believe us.
The plug-in hybrid 2021 Kia Sorento will arrive in the U.S. late in 2021. However, that is not the most important news. It’s not hard to see that Kia is also working on a new Sportage and a new Niro. American minivan owners may also be able to take advantage of the new Carnival or Sedona which have been shown outside the U.S. Your guesses are just as good as ours about the other minivans.
As announced last month, the new Kia cars will be accompanied by corporate leadership changes at Kia Motors America. Bill Peffer, who has been vice president of sales operations for more than three years now holds the position of executive vice president and COO.
Russell Wager, who joined Kia Motors America July 2019, will be promoted as vice president of marketing and report to Peffer. He was previously the director of marketing operations.
