Ford and Honda pull out of the 2022 SEMA Show [UPDATE]

This event will be held November 4 – 5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Ford will be present at SEMA. However, our traditional displays will not be there. Instead, we plan to showcase our winning portfolio of vehicles at select stands at the show as well as digitally online. More details will be available closer to SEMA. ” Ford has put on quite a show at Specialty Equipment Market Association since we can recall. However, this year there will be no Blue Oval show. In a SEMA press release, there is information about Dearborn’s decision to skip the 2022 event. Honda is also out. Why? The answer is not clear.

Ford has product momentum at the SEMA show, with the Bronco and Maverick. A sporty version the small pickup truck has been spotted recently, while a V8-powered BroncoR will be arriving in a few months. It would have been wonderful to see the two versions of the truck at the show.

SEMA’s announcement about Honda only mentioned Honda. It did not include Acura. It is unknown if the luxury brand will attend, but it would be nice to see the 2023 Inta there with a more aggressive specification.

Although the double withdrawal is a major blow to North American tuning, there will still be plenty of things to see at this edition. GMC, Toyota and Lexus, as well as automakers like Chevrolet, GMC and Toyota, have confirmed their presence at the event and will be having larger stands. Stellantis, Volkswagen are also on the list. SEMA 2022 will be held November 1-4 at Las Vegas Convention Center. We’ll be in touch with Honda and Ford to learn why they aren’t in Sin City.
