This is not a “soft-roader”.
The new Ford Bronco is the focus of off-road enthusiasts. Although the reborn SUV won’t be available until the summer, the smaller Bronco Sport will be in stock. The Bronco Sport isn’t as robust as its brother. It’s easy to swap the tires for something more aggressive, but what about the baby Bronco?
Alphaequipt wheels set about answering that question. The aftermarket is heating up as the Bronco Sport has been sold to new owners. However, custom off-road wheels are scarce. The Bronco Sport has a 5 x 108mm bolt configuration. Alphaequipt designed a new set 17-inchers and fitted BF Goodrich 245/65 series tires. Kristopher Serrano from Alphaequipt Sales says that this combo of wheel and tire fits under the stock Bronco Sport without any rubbing problems.
The Bronco Sport Base model rides on 17-inch wheels. However, it also comes with street-oriented 225/65-series all season tires. These images show the Bronco Sport, a sleek Outer Banks model. It has leather-trimmed seats and is well-equipped with Ford’s Terrain Management System. It is equipped with 18-inch wheels and street-ready 225/60 series tires.
To make room for taller tires, the 17s are dropped to 17. However, unless you choose the Outer Banks, all other Bronco Sports come standard with 17-inch wheels. A 235/65 is the largest size available from the factory. This tire is optional on Badlands and standard in the First Edition. Stock Bronco Sports have room for just a little bit more rubber. It’s remarkable how a small change can make such a big visual difference. This machine would look great in Badlands trim, with seven GOAT modes available.
