Is there a hidden message in the teaser tweet?
Ford appears to be having a lot of fun this Friday afternoon. Another teaser photo was posted by the automaker on Twitter. It could be the Raptor, or the Warthog. Although the photo isn’t something we’ve seen before, it conveys an obvious message as well as a hidden message. We’ll get to that later.
Ford is testing yet another Bronco variant, it’s not secret. We have seen spy photos and there are rumors of more engine power and suspension upgrades. Let’s now take a closer look at the tweet that caught our attention. Test 37-inch hooves The weekend ahead promises to be even better! #FordBronco pic.twitter.com/KVugNgCT5r Ford Motor Company (@Ford). September 25, 2020 First, we don’t have any information on the size of these tires. These 37-inchers, which are part of the Sasquatch Package, promise 35-inch offroad tires straight from the factory. This prototype is not yet a production model so there is no way to be sure. However, , isn’t the main point of our attention.
It is unclear whether the hi-po Bronco will be referred to as Raptor, as in the off-roading F150 or Warthog, as rumors and a trademark filing suggest. Raptors do not have hooves but Warthogs do. It could also be a Bronco reference, as horses do have hooves. This is where the mystery lies, but it adds credence to Warthog theory.
No matter what the name, you can expect an upgraded suspension and bigger tires. There is also the possibility of 400 horsepower from the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 in the Explorer ST. We suspect that this Bronco will be flying above obstacles.
