Ford EcoSport, Expedition Star in Olympic-Themed Ads

During the Winter Olympics, the TV spots will be aired on February 9, and 10, respectively.

Ford is promoting its two new SUVs as the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea begin in just a few days. The EcoSport and the updated Expedition will be visible on TV and social media screens in the coming days. There will also be three new TV spots and two targeted digital campaigns.

The first TV commercial, “Night Ski”, features the first ever North American EcoSport SUV. It is used to fulfill a mother’s dream of her daughter going on a night-skiing trip with her son. The ad’s seven-second duration is highlighted with the caption “Make your first-ever happen.” The EcoSport second ad, “Photo Show,” has a similar theme. It also uses the same description. The ad below is a seven-second-long video in which a woman realizes her dream of owning a photo exhibit.

The TV spot below, which exclusively features the Expedition, is titled “We The People”. This ad spot, which is just eight seconds long, takes a different approach to the EcoSport ads. It highlights people and places from across the U.S. with the description “We the People that define what we share and who and what we love.” Never stop asking what we will do. The Ford Expedition is completely new!

Two new YouTube videos featuring EcoSport and Expedition walkarounds complete the three-minute ad spot. You can also see a number of print ads in the gallery at the end of the story.

Michael O’Brien (Ford SUV marketing manager) stated that SUVs are in fashion and that he has added two new models to his lineup to cater to two different audiences. The Ford lineup is perfect for anyone looking to downsize but still have SUV capabilities or need more space for their growing family.
