Ford announced plans to sell the Edge and EcoSport in Europe. They will be a major player in the expanding crossover market.
Ford plans to offer the Edge , EcoSport and Edge in Europe.
The EcoSport was first unveiled at New Delhi Auto Expo. It rides on the global B segment platform and was created in South America. It has an off-road-inspired design with plastic body cladding, and a tailgate-mounted spare.
The Fiesta interior was used as inspiration. It features a symmetrical design, high-quality materials, and SYNC connectivity.
Although European engine options are not yet known, they could include:
Nick Collins, Ford Europe’s vehicle line director for B-cars, stated that the Ford EcoSport would offer great value, quality, and fuel economy. Customers will have a great choice of small cars, including the B-MAX compact multiactivity vehicle and new Fiesta.
The EcoSport will be available in the next 18-months, while the Edge will arrive several years later.
