Ford Edge ST on Sale with Up to $9,000 Discount

The Edge is sharper than ever.

Although the 2019 Ford Edge ST isn’t worthy of the ST badge, it’s still an SUV that offers ” a nice balance between comfort, performance, and a model specific twin-turbocharged engine. Here’s why.

CarsDirect has brought to our attention dealer incentive bulletins that were released this week. They show Ford’s V6 crossover can be eligible for more than $5,000 in rebates. This combined with dealer discounts can result in a savings of more than $9,000 on the MSRP. This is a discount of more than 20% on the base model’s sticker price ($42,355).

A dealer in Sarasota offers an $8,381 discount on a unit of the model equipped with a panoramic roof, satellite navigation system, and a MSRP of $51,703. Fort Worth dealers are promising a $9,072 discount on an Edge ST at $45,045.

Be aware that not all listings are accurate. For example, a Michigan dealer is offering a massive $14,410 discount on MSRP. But there’s a catch: “The seller includes a $2,000 loyalty Discount for returning lessees, $2,000 Fusion owners and a $1250 incentive that you can only get when you upgrade from an Escape or Edge,” as CarsDirect reports.

The Edge ST is powered by a 2.7-liter twin turbo V6 engine that produces 335 horsepower (250kW) and 380 pounds-feet (515 Newton meters) to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is expected to reach speeds of 0-60 miles per hour (0-96 km/h) and acceleration times of 6.0 seconds (after discounts), so it might be worth considering. It will be available at least until July.
