Ford Explorer Timberline Selected With No Camouflage, Exposed Inside

You can see the mountain emblem on both the exterior and interior.

The Ford Explorer Timberline was parked in a lot, without any camouflage. These photos were taken by our spies who happened to be in the right spot at the right moment.

With some minor tweaks, the Timberline cabin looks very similar to the XLT grade. The seats feature orange stitching and the Timberline logo, which consists of three triangular mountains. Gray textile is used in the center of these chairs. Although the trim at the lower portion of the dashboard on the passenger side appears to have a texture effect, it is difficult to see through the win

The Timberline’s front end is slightly different to Explorers. The lower fascia is orange-outlined and features a pair matching tow hooks. The grille is made of mesh with rectangular openings, and has a crossbar at the top.

The Timberline is a set of five Y-shaped spokes on five black wheels. The rim features the model’s emblem. Bridgestone Dueler all terrain tires are used.

The rear bumper isn’t as low as the ground. If the Explorer is taken off-road, this should improve the departure angle.

The Timberline is still missing mechanical details. A new model is not just a matter of changing the interior trim and body kit. The powertrain is likely to be the same as other SUV variants, but it might have suspension adjustments that make it more capable off-road.

The Explorer Timberline should be available soon. Ford has not yet released teasers, but it is open to photographers taking photos of uncamouflaged models in a parking lot. A full unveiling could be possible soon.

The Timberline is a complement to the Explorer King Ranch. This model is luxurious with mahogany leather upholstery, wood trim and a high-end interior. You can also add features such as massaging seats or a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo.
