The Ford F-150 Lightning will debut on Wednesday May 19. The Blue Oval has already started to get people excited about the electric vehicle by posting advertisements on social media. This ad was posted by someone on the Ford Lightning SVT Club group.
Motor1.com reached Ford to confirm that the image was authentic and not an unofficial copy. Emma Bergg, a Ford spokesperson, said that the image was one of many teasers we’ll be seeing over the coming days as we countdown until Wednesday’s reveal.
This angle allows you to see the F-150 Lightning from a different perspective. The lighting can be seen at the front of the vehicle, as well as the strip that runs along the hood’s edge. The cab appears to be a SuperCrew four door layout, judging by the size. The spoiler is located at the top of the bed. It gives the vehicle a sporty look.
The image is not particularly sharp and dark. The ride height is quite low. It looks more like a street-truck than an off-roader. This is a good starting point. Blue Oval can market a pickup to a wide range of buyers and then offer versions that are more appealing to specific groups.

We don’t have many details about the mechanical aspects of this system. For all-wheel drive capability, we expect at least one electric motor per axle. Ford claims to be targeting a 300-mile range. There is speculation that a version with a larger-capacity battery could increase the range to 400 miles.
When the truck debuts, we will be able to find out more. Motor1.com will host a livestream, with pre- and after-show discussions about the vehicle’s biggest premieres.
