Ford F-150XLT now available with V6 Diesel Engine

Diesel engines are no longer expensive.

Recent spy photos have shown that Ford has begun road testing prototypes for the next generation F-150. However, this doesn’t mean that the current model will not be updated. Mike Levine, Ford North America’s Product Communication Manager, posted some wonderful news on Twitter a few hours back. This is great news for diesel enthusiasts who want to own the reliable workhorse at an affordable price. The 3.0-liter Power Stroke V6 is now available on the XLT model, which was previously only available on the Lariat, Platinum and King Ranch trims.

The Ford F-150 XLT diesel engine is already available for purchase. It will cost you $46,255 plus the destination fee. According to Mike Levine, who reached out to Mike Levine. It’s possible to have it on SuperCab and SuperCrew bodies, but not for the Regular Cab model. The optional 302A package can get you the Power Stroke on the XLT, but this shouldn’t be a problem since most buyers already have that option.

The six-cylinder engine produces 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet (or 597 Newton-meters) torque. The pickup truck is equipped with a 10-speed auto gearbox, which allows it to return 22 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway. This gives it a combined fuel efficiency of 25 mpg.

Although the diesel engine was initially announced for the F150 in January 2017, it wasn’t made available until the summer 2018. This diesel engine is the first to be available for the F-150. It is a modified version of the engine that was used in Europe and other countries by the Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport. The pickup can tow up to 11,400 pounds (5.171 kg) and it can carry a maximum payload capacity of 2,020lbs (916kg).

Ford’s news of adding the Power Stroke engine to the F-150 XLT follows a General Motors announcement about the delay in its 3.0-liter diesel for 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500. The process of getting the emissions certification took longer than expected, so customers won’t be able buy trucks with diesel engines for some time. GM’s inline six Duramax engine is stronger than Ford’s V6. It has been rated at 277 hp (623 Nm) and 460 lbft (623 Nm), or an additional 27 hp (20 lbft (27Nm)),
