Ford’s Flexibus is a new entry-level RV that allows for people who want to camp but also need a vehicle that can be used as a van. It is now available for purchase in Europe.
The Flexibus uses the Ford Transit Custom van to start. Buyers can choose between a 115.5 inch (2,933-millimeter), or a 129.9-inch (3.300-mm) wheelbase depending on their needs. Customers can choose from a range of diesel engines with 103 horsepower (77kilowatts), to 182 horsepower (136 kW), as well as a six-speed manual and automatic gearbox.

Flexibus also offers multiple payload capacities to increase its adaptability. The Flexibus’ short-wheelbase model can carry either 1,980 pounds (900 kg) or 2,430lbs (1,100kg). The longer wheelbase version can carry either 1,760 pounds (800kg) or 2,200lbs (1,000 kg).
This van’s interior is the real star. It has an extremely flexible interior, as the name implies. The floors have rails that can be used to attach seating or four beds. They also serve as cargo tie-down spots. Buyers have the option to specify a plastic or carpeted floor, depending on how they plan to use their van. Pop-up roofs are also available to increase the space and allow for additional sleeping spaces.
This configuration allows the Flexibus to adapt to individual needs. Owners can choose to camp for a weekend, and all the sleeping space is available. You can then take all your stuff out and convert the vehicle into a cargo van to transport stuff throughout the week.
