It was filed in Chile, unfortunately.
Patent and trademark filings may not be as accurate as we would like. Although they could hint at future products and automakers love to patent and trademark as much as possible, These filings rarely make it into the real world. However, it is possible. Ford filed a trademark application with the Chilean Instituto Nacional de Propiedad Industrial for a Maverick Tremor.
This is a simple filing that doesn’t indicate what trim it could offer. The Tremor badge can be found on several Ford pickups and often includes off-road-oriented upgrades. It’s not difficult to imagine a Maverick equipped with the Tremor badge getting similar upgrades. These include an upgraded suspension, locking differentials and skid plates. Ford could also decide to give the Maverick the entire parts catalog.
We aren’t sure that a Maverick Tremor will soon be coming to the US, as the Chilean filing is sitting there. The consumers should not feel left out. Ford trademarked the ” Rattler name earlier in the year. Last month, our spy photographers captured a camouflaged Maverick testing. It appeared to have a higher ride height and other tweaks. It is about an inch higher than the Maverick FX4 on which the new model is built.
The popularity of trucks is high right now and Ford’s compact offering is becoming increasingly popular. The vehicle is attractive because of its affordable price and hybrid powertrain. Ford makes it easy to choose from a range of specifications and trims so that people can pick the pickup they like and how to use it. Although the Maverick Tremor may not be as powerful as the F150 Tremor and F250 Tremor the small truck still surprises everyone.
