Ford isn’t leaving the sedan market yet.

The Ford Fusion has long been discontinued in the United States. In Europe, the Mondeo will cease production in 2022. However, the Blue Oval is not abandoning the sedan market completely. These spy shots show a successor to the Mondeo in Europe. It is also wearing heavy camouflage.

According to reports, the upcoming model will be related to Ford Evos in China It is a sedan-like design. These modifications include reducing the ride height and stretching the length.

The front has the closest styling similarities to Evos. Transparent camouflage shows a large grille and narrow headlights at the corners. The lower fascia has a narrow opening that spans most of the vehicle’s width.

The profile shows a classic three-box sedan shape. Large doors can be accommodated by the vehicle’s long wheelbase.

The rear is especially well camouflaged. However, you can see the taillights at each corner. The tail is not covered by exhaust pipes. However, there are mufflers underneath. According to rumours, the sedan will be powered by a plug-in hybrid engine.

The Mondeo continues to be available in China. It even has a 12.8-inch vertical display that runs Ford Sync4 infotainment. It’s also available with two turbocharged engines, making 200 horsepower (149kilowatts), and 180hp (134kW).

It is not known if this model will replace the Mondeo in China. It’s obvious that the current sedan is getting old.
